The ‘Ascot’
porcelain doll has brown hair and green eyes.
The
Porcelain Doll named ‘Ascot’ is based on the well-known
musical, ‘My Fair Lady’.
This
particular doll is elegantly dressed in the traditional
black and white outfit which so befits Ascot. The porcelain
doll’s dress is made of pure white dupion silk and covered
with lace. It is edged with both black and white lace. At
her left shoulder is a black and white striped bow, decorated
with red flowers. On the porcelain doll’s dress, at knee
level, on the right hand side, is a complementary striped
bow with similar red flowers. This striped fabric can also
be seen making a stunning ‘fish tail’ section at the back
of the dress, from knee level to the hem.
This
porcelain doll’s elegant hat is of white dupion silk, like
the dress and is edged with both black and white lace. It
is decorated with a section of black and white striped fabric,
matching the dress and is finished with small red flowers
to complete the striking effect.
In
the doll’s left hand is a parasol of silk and lace, to match
her dress. It is decorated with both black and white lace
and finished off with red flowers.
This
very collectable porcelain doll is really elegant and is
indeed ready for ‘Ascot’.
